Why You Should Work With MediaNet AV

Title

My all-time favorite comedy is the 1995 classic movie Tommy Boy - starring the late Chris Farley and David Spade. This movie has taught me a few things about business….let me explain. If you haven’t seen the movie, Tommy has to travel the country to sell brake pads to save his family business after his dad dies. Tommy has never ran a business and has never sold anything. He’s kind of a screw up and relied on his dad for everything.

Once he gets on the road with his side kick Richard, they set out to save the business but time and time again they hear the answer “no”. It isn’t until he realizes how his dad built a successful business - through relationships. Tom Sr. knew his customers and built long term relationships with them.

At MediaNet AV, we like to build lasting relationships and earn your business. We strive get to know you and how we can serve you. When we start to work on a project, heres our process -

Vision - Gear - Budget

Vision

Too many times clients tell us they have $X amount of dollars to spend and it needs to do A B C for that amount of money. Most of the time the customer isn’t happy with the end result. Thats why we start with the vision for the project. This allows us to understand the scope for the gear and how it will be used. The more info we can get from the customer the better we can understand and recommend the best gear for the project. Once we get a clear vision on paper we can start on a list of gear.

Gear

This is the most fun part of what we do. We get to take someones vision and make it come to life using professional AVL gear. We love to build and design control rooms, draft configurations and spec gear. Its fun to find the latest and greatest and see how it can work with existing gear. The vision dictates the gear because if you want to do X, you have to have QRS to make it happen. Not everyone can afford QRS but sometime ABC.

Budget

We have some customers that have the biggest vision and the largest gear list but budgets the size of piggy bank. All things are possible with small budgets but we always try to have people hold off to purchase something until they can afford what they really need. You really do get what you pay for in this industry. If it’s cheap, chances are its cheap for a reason. I firmly believe that there is a large list of manufactures that are middle of the road - not expensive and not cheap. We like to call them - cost effective. Most of our customers like cost effective solutions and thats what we provide - Cost Effective Live Video Systems.

We wouldn’t be able to get anywhere with our customers if we didn’t get to know them as a person or company and go through our process with them. Relationships play a huge part in how we run our company. As Big Tom Callahan would say, “I can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take a butcher's word for it.” I’m not exactly sure what that means however, give us a call or shoot us an email today to schedule a consult.
